Eagles vs Cowboys Part 2

In my previous post, I said that “it wasn’t a pretty game” and “there were alot of turnovers.” To clarify myself:

I thought it was a really good game. I was disappointed in the first quarter when the Eagles only scored 3 points when they got the ball from a turnover.  I was happy overall with how the Philly defense and offense played. They really made things difficult for Bledsoe the whole game.

To Robert and Howard:

I waited all game long for one of the Eagles defensive backs to channel Ronnie Lott and just hit T. O. hard and make him see stars. T.O. is a narcissistic, immature egomaniac. He’s a good wide-receiver, but he’s not a team player nor is he a leader; not at all. I find it hard to take anything he says seriously. Whatever problems or criticisms he has with one of his team members, he’s wrong to say it in the media. I cannot respect someone like that.

McNabb is a great quarterback. I do see him as a John Elway like quarterback. McNabb is a LEADER. He makes adjustments when they’re needed. For example, in the Green Bay game, when the running game was shaky, McNabb ran the ball at key moments and ended up scoring 2 rushing TDs. McNabb doesn’t get flustered in the pocket when there’s defensive pressure. McNabb is one of the clutch quarterbacks in the game now. McNabb played hurt all season long last year. He’s a tough guy in my book! Despite all the drama with Owens the past few seasons, McNabb showed what kind of person he is when he contacted Owens after he heard about Owens’ alleged suicide attempt and inquired how Owens was doing….if he was ok.

I said “the Cowboys really do need to look into getting another quarterback Bledsoe sucks…..” Drew Bledsoe does suck!!! He played a bad game despite the intense pressure the Eagles defense put on him. ESPN is reporting that Parcells isn’t going to start Romo in the Cowboys next game. That’s a mistake….

  1. Robert Says:

Our opinions of McNabb are next door neighbors of each other. I think McNabb is one notch down from great, that he is very good. Sometimes he rises to greatness. Sometimes he falls to good.

I think he’s one of the five best quarterbacks in the league. Most quarterbacks fall into three categories: pure pocket passers (Dan Marino type), field generals (Joe Montana type), and pure athlete (Randall Cunningham type).

McNabb is a hybrid, which makes him dangerous. He throws a better ball than most of the pure athlete types (Culpepper, Vick, and McNair) or most field generals (Brady and Rothlesberger). He leads better on the field than most of the pure athlete types (as good as McNair, but better than the others) and than most of the pure pocket passers (Peyton Manning). And he is a better pure athlete than the pocket passers and field generals. If that all makes sense.
